Wendell and Wendell East peaks across CMC valley to north; hiked the “West Col” dog route, not the normal scramble route with the chain traverse. 10am on summit to beat the heat.

Wyoming Kittentails (Bessaya wyomingensis / Synthyris wyomingensis) on summit slopes.

Two weeks later, early June, mountain shooting stars (Primula conjugens) on the slopes previously covered by blooming prairie crocuses.
