Kona on Read’s Tower in mid-June, view towards Sparrowhawk summit in clouds. Visibility and icy conditions turned us back from Sparrowhawk at 70 m below summit (pic below), so this (and the breakfast burrito) is the ‘consolation prize’ for the day’s effort.

Kona on Mt. Indefatigable South Peak in mid-June with Mt. Wintour, Gap Mountain, Mt. Elpoca and Tombstone South behind. Above Kona’s ear is Mt. Schlee (‘Grizzly Group’s’ 1st ascent 1976 register on Schlee below).
Mt. Schlee 1976 first ascent record – Glen Boles, Mike Simpson, Don Forest, Gordon Scruggs. Kona’s “dad” left it in a new register container in August 1997 as the original plastic water bottle container was shredded.
